Job Description
Senior Program Manager leading cross-functional medical device development and manufacturing programs at Viant. Managing customer deliverables, budgets, schedules, risks, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams on strategic projects including New Product Introduction, Transfer, Cost Reduction, Integrations, Insourcing, and Strategic Corporate Programs
- Serve as the primary point of contact and communication between Viant and the Customer
- Define the scope, budget, requirements, and deliverables of assigned projects
- Plan, coordinate, execute, track, report, and close projects
- Develop fully Integrated Master Schedules using Microsoft Project, including tasks and milestones
- Obtain functional department commitment and buy-in to schedules and budgets
- Manage issues and risks, including development and tracking/reporting of mitigation plans
- Set program budgets and provide financial analysis and reporting
- Ensure activities meet Viant requirements, FDA regulations, and ISO regulations
- Set goals and deliver Viant and customer milestone deliverables on time
- Provide weekly status reporting for assigned projects
- Provide monthly project review status for assigned projects
- Initiate corrective action review meetings when schedules are not being met
- Develop and document recovery plans and corrective actions with Project Teams and Plant Management
- Communicate revised plans and schedules to customers
- Utilize and steward Viant’s ViaLaunch program management process
- Support, coach, and mentor core sub-team members and functional leaders
- Organize weekly project review meetings, schedule reviews, and financial reviews
- Perform other projects and tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or business management with at least 7 years of related work experience
- PMP Certification preferred
- Minimum 7 years work experience (post-college)
- 5+ years project management experience
- Experience in medical device, contract manufacturing or related regulated industry preferred
- Project management skills; demonstrated use of PMI methodology
- Strong analytical, planning, organization and time management skills
- Demonstrated track record of leading within complex organizations requiring strong influential management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a matrix organization, build teams and relationships
- Experience leading projects with multiple cross-functional team members and functional management
- Ability to communicate complex information to various levels of management and employees
- Capability to understand customer requirements and incorporate into business decisions
- Solid problem solving, mentoring, training and coaching experience
- Strong experience working with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and MS TEAMS) is required
- 50% travel requirement as needed
