Job Description

Senior Renewals Manager owning public sector customer renewals for GitLab’s DevSecOps platform. Forecasting retention, coordinating Sales and Customer Success, and improving renewal workflows.

Responsibilities:

Own the renewal process for a portfolio of public sector customers
Develop account-level renewal strategies and coordinate activities from planning through completion
Collaborate with public sector Sales and Customer Success teams on renewal plans and customer risks
Monitor customer health and adoption data to forecast renewal opportunities
Execute outreach campaigns and personalize communications
Drive customer retention and timely renewals
Take ownership of renewal risks and coordinate actions to resolve them
Implement automated outreach sequences
Integrate adoption data and personalized communications into renewal processes

Requirements:

Experience owning customer renewal strategies, managing competing priorities, and improving renewal processes
Experience working in a collaborative, customer-facing environment coordinating with multiple internal teams to support renewal forecasting and customer retention
Familiarity with CRM and customer success tools such as Salesforce and Gainsight
Ability to interpret customer health and adoption data to inform renewal strategies
Strong communication skills and confidence engaging in business conversations
Demonstrated time and project management discipline
Ability to prioritize outreach and renewal activities effectively
Openness to learning and adapting, with a coachable mindset and willingness to implement feedback
Customer-centric approach with high empathy
Ability to demonstrate the experience and transferable skills needed to own renewal outcomes
Ability to incorporate AI into daily workflows
