Job Description
Sr. Territory Manager driving AbbVie’s pharmaceutical eyecare sales and brand performance in India. Managing healthcare-provider relationships, territory strategy, and customer call plans.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, and other objectives
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance
- Handle objections, misunderstandings, and concerns and gain logical calls to action to close sales calls
- Serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted customer relationships and achieve win-win agreements
- Develop and execute call plans that achieve call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency for key customers
- Build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, products, clinical information, and sales expertise
- Share market intelligence with in-field, brand, and sales management teams
- Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with assigned healthcare providers
- Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance
Requirements:
- Any governmental and/or legal mandatory certification requirements as by respective country’s laws and/or regulations (if applicable)
- Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business related field, or equivalent
- Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills
- In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge
- Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools
- Strategic and critical thinking capabilities
- Ability to identify customer style/behavior and quickly adapt all aspects of selling approach
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment
- Proven track record of success in sales performance within respective therapeutic areas preferred
- Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing preferred
- English language proficiency verbally and in writing preferred for non-English-speaking countries
