Job Description
Social Content & Growth Strategist creating and optimizing social content for a comic and entertainment company. Driving organic audience growth across characters, games, digital products, and entertainment projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop original concepts for memes, static posts, carousels, short-form videos, character content, and recurring social series
- Turn concepts into finished, publishable content using existing artwork and assets
- Write captions, hooks, headlines, and short-form copy in distinct character voices
- Edit short-form videos and create social-first graphics
- Use AI-assisted creative tools to produce polished, intentional content
- Repurpose comics, animation, games, trailers, and other assets into social content
- Research emerging social formats, platform changes, algorithm behavior, creators, entertainment brands, fandoms, memes, and cultural trends
- Identify growth drivers for other accounts and translate findings into experiments
- Develop strategies to reach non-followers through shares, recommendations, collaborations, creators, trends, and organic distribution
- Find relevant creators, communities, accounts, and potential collaborators
- Own and maintain the social content calendar; schedule and publish across active accounts
- Organize assets, drafts, approvals, captions, and publishing schedules
- Coordinate with designers, animators, editors, and other team members
- Manage multiple distinct social accounts
- Track reach, engagement, shares, saves, watch time, profile visits, follower growth, clicks, and related metrics
- Run experiments, evaluate results, iterate, and provide actionable reporting
- Connect social performance to digital product sales, game engagement, email acquisition, and app growth
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of Instagram/Meta and TikTok, particularly short-form content and organic discovery
- Demonstrated ability to personally create compelling social content
- Strong copywriting instincts and a good sense of humor
- Fluency in memes, internet culture, entertainment, fandoms, creators, and emerging social trends
- Comfortable with Canva and/or Adobe tools, plus short-form video editing software
- Experience using modern AI creative tools is strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage several content streams simultaneously
- Analytical ability to understand performance data while retaining creative judgment
- Resourceful and comfortable figuring things out independently
- Proactive approach, bringing ideas and opportunities to the team
- Must be available to collaborate during U.S. Pacific Time business hours
