Job Description
Strategic Account Executive selling Armada's edge computing and AI infrastructure to mining operators. Managing complex enterprise deals across Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Pacific markets.
Responsibilities:
- Drive new revenue by identifying, qualifying, and closing complex enterprise opportunities within major mining operators across Australia and the Pacific
- Develop relationships with mining executives, operations leadership, IT/OT leaders, and procurement stakeholders
- Lead end-to-end enterprise sales cycles across Australia and Papua New Guinea
- Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder buying groups in remote mine-site environments
- Deliver value-based presentations articulating the impact of Armada's edge and AI solutions
- Own pipeline strategy, forecasting, and CRM discipline across the mining territory
- Lead negotiations and close high-value, multi-year strategic deals
- Partner with product, engineering, and solutions teams on tailored, site-ready solutions
- Drive engagement with EPCMs, mining-tech and automation vendors, equipment OEMs, and connectivity providers
- Lead participation in RFI/RFQ/RFP processes
- Represent Armada at mining industry events and forums
- Drive post-sale adoption, expansion, and long-term retention
- Stay current on mining priorities, budgets, procurement cycles, and competition
- Maintain regular FIFO travel to remote Pilbara, Goldfields, and PNG sites
- Operate with ownership and autonomy in a fast-moving, high-growth environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or related field
- 10+ years of strategic enterprise sales experience focused on mining, resources, or industrial/heavy asset accounts in Australia/Papua New Guinea
- Proven experience managing strategic or named accounts within mining operators
- Strong track record closing large, complex, multi-site deals with long sales cycles
- Experience selling AI, edge computing, infrastructure, or data-platform technology solutions into mining or industrial environments
- Strong understanding of mining operations, procurement processes, and stakeholder environments
- Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
- History of consistent quota overachievement
- Disciplined pipeline management and forecasting capability
- Self-directed, adaptable, and effective in high-growth environments
- Regular FIFO travel to remote Pilbara, Goldfields, and PNG sites
- Existing decision-maker network and credibility across major Australian and PNG mining companies preferred
- Familiarity with EPCM and engineering firms, mining procurement frameworks, MEDDPICC, Challenger, or Command of the Message preferred
- Startup or high-growth company experience preferred
- Knowledge of edge computing, cloud platforms, AI/ML, private wireless/satellite connectivity, and mining applications preferred
