Job Description
Systems Engineer driving enterprise storage solution sales for Everpure’s Queensland customers. Advising enterprise accounts, leading technical evaluations, and partnering across sales and alliances.
Responsibilities:
- Pilot sales and adoption of Everpure solutions with enterprise prospects and existing customers
- Understand customer business goals and pain points and propose creative solutions with alliance partners
- Collaborate with pre-sales, sales, partner sales and enablement, marketing, and leadership teams to grow business across the Everpure portfolio
- Develop an exhaustive understanding of Queensland customers’ businesses and decision-making drivers
- Connect technology solutions to measurable customer business outcomes
- Partner with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to drive revenue growth and net new business
- Advocate for the advantages of Everpure solutions
- Refine sales strategy and tactics while owning technical responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and domain expertise across storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and DAS, NAS, and SAN offerings
- Lead evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations
- Build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations to customers and prospective accounts
- Capture requirements and translate business needs into innovative solutions
- Author responses to RFIs and RFPs
- Drive interoperability, functional, and performance testing and validation opportunities
- Promote roadmap and planning exchanges
- Work with product and technical marketing to produce whitepapers and web presentations
- Monitor competitors and maintain accurate differentiated solution positioning
- Track market trends and promote thought leadership
- Travel regularly to meet customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
Requirements:
- Pre-sales experience covering Queensland customers is required
- 5 or more years of relevant experience across technology, design, and communications required
- Experience supporting sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts preferred
- Deep understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions
- Experience targeting new prospects and converting them into clients
- Experience contributing to or leading RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses
- Superior knowledge of storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN
- Knowledge of Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environments
- Experience installing/configuring distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory, storage subsystems, shared memory, cache, and windowing systems
- Strong knowledge of Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers
- Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
- BS in CS, EE or another technical degree and/or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with modern web architecture, including LAMP stack, scale-out vs. scale-up architectures, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with storage-intensive applications and structured databases such as SQL and Oracle is highly desirable
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP is a plus
- Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures is a plus
- Curiosity and passion for technology and explaining new technology platforms and concepts to customers
