Job Description

Travel Nurse Recruiter sourcing, screening, and placing healthcare professionals for staffing assignments. Building candidate networks, negotiating compensation, and supporting traveler satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit viable nurses for travel assignments through prospecting, referrals, and leads
  • Sell travel assignments using a consultative sales approach
  • Recruit, screen, interview, and evaluate healthcare professionals according to client needs
  • Cultivate and expand a network and candidate pool of healthcare professionals
  • Negotiate compensation packages while maintaining acceptable margins
  • Develop recruiting strategies using email campaigns, social media, and other tools
  • Conduct competitive market research
  • Meet performance expectations for outbound calls, candidate submittals, and weeks booked
  • Build relationships and provide customer service to healthcare professionals
  • Attend trade shows, conventions, career fairs, workshops, and sponsored events as needed
  • Complete weekly recruitment reports and special recruiting projects
  • Maintain productivity metrics, candidate database files, and required documents
  • Ensure traveler satisfaction through assignment planning and follow-through
  • Maintain relationships with clients, co-workers, and active nurse staff
  • Address nurse needs and issues through communication and follow-up
  • Maintain flexible schedules to service staff requests and handle issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned, with or without accommodation

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, qualifying, networking, and relationship management, preferably in staffing
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Effective phone presentation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Negotiation and sales skills
  • Ability to collaborate across all aspects of the selling cycle
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions
