Job Description

Vice President of Public Programs managing partnerships with public entities for a national home performance rating system. Leading strategic initiatives and a team focused on energy efficiency in homes.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Pearl’s President and Executive Team to refine the Public Partnerships Division’s strategy and business plan
  • Oversee the implementation of the business plan
  • Build and manage a team of skilled and motivated professionals capable of achieving the division’s goals
  • Manage the divisional budget such that revenue goals are met and spending limits are adhered to
  • Ensure that Pearl’s public sector “product” (“offering”) is first-in-class at meeting the public sector’s needs by overseeing customer discovery and supporting product iteration, as necessary
  • Develop partnerships with the program implementers who will oversee IRA and other public programs
  • Establish and maintain critical strategic partnerships with key public sector actors, including federal agencies (DOE, EPA), state energy offices, implementation contractors, national and local non-profits, and utilities
  • Support Pearl’s work to influence public policy as appropriate
  • Work with Pearl’s marketing team to ensure an effective communications and marketing strategy that supports achievement of the division’s goals

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years in senior management position and a track record of management excellence
  • Minimum of seven years experience in public and/or utility sector/energy efficiency
  • Ability to rapidly synthesize complex information and put it to use
  • Ability to communicate with excellence and ease
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to develop and support high performing, remotely-located teams
  • Understanding of how to assess product-market fit and make recommendations to improve product as necessary
  • You are committed to developing programs and offerings that support disadvantaged communities and communities of color
  • You have entrepreneurial energy and take joy in problem solving
  • You are authorized to legally work in the U.S. (Pearl is unable to sponsor employment visas at this time)
  • You do not mind traveling (two to three days for two to three weeks, multiple months of the year)
