Job Description
Remote Scheduler developing and analyzing Primavera P6 schedules for JLL’s mission-critical data center construction projects. Coordinating timelines, risks, contractors, and capital delivery up to $1B+.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for assigned capital projects using Primavera P6 or similar software
- Establish work breakdown structures, activity coding systems, durations, logic relationships, constraints, and dependencies
- Incorporate procurement milestones, long-lead equipment deliveries, approvals, and contractor/design inputs
- Create baseline schedules, maintain version control, and update schedules based on actual progress and changes
- Develop look-ahead schedules covering 2-week, 4-week, and 3-month periods
- Conduct critical path, total float, schedule performance, SPI, and schedule variance analyses
- Identify trends, delays, schedule risks, constraints, and impacts of scope or design changes
- Evaluate what-if scenarios, recovery options, mitigation strategies, and contingency plans
- Track milestones and forecast completion dates
- Prepare schedule status reports, Gantt charts, milestone charts, summary schedules, narratives, and client updates
- Communicate schedule status and risks to project managers and stakeholders; present updates in project meetings
- Coordinate with cost managers on integrated cost and schedule reporting and earned value management
- Coordinate schedules across project managers, design teams, contractors, commissioning agents, consultants, and trade contractors
- Ensure sequencing and logic ties across design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning
- Identify and resolve schedule conflicts and align milestones with funding, approvals, and occupancy requirements
- Validate schedule quality, contractual compliance, logic relationships, activity durations, assumptions, calendars, and constraints
- Support schedule audits, change order evaluation, claims documentation, dispute resolution, execution plans, and schedule management plans
- Collaborate on commissioning and startup schedules
- May guide junior scheduling staff or interns
- Participate in training, process improvement, scheduling technology implementation, and lessons learned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or related field from an accredited institution
- 5-8 years of direct relevant experience in construction scheduling or project controls roles
- Strong proficiency in scheduling software including Primavera P6 (P6 EPPM or P6 Professional)
- Solid understanding of critical path method (CPM) scheduling principles and techniques
- Experience developing and maintaining schedules for capital construction projects valued at $500M-$5B
- Knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and project delivery processes
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify schedule trends, risks, and performance issues
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presenting to project teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently with general supervision while managing multiple project assignments
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and commitment to accuracy
- Collaborative team player with ability to coordinate with diverse project stakeholders
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Preferred: Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, mission-critical/data center/healthcare/laboratory project experience, additional scheduling tools, earned value management, design-build/CM-at-risk/integrated project delivery, commissioning and startup schedules, LEED projects, BIM 4D scheduling, professional membership
