Job Description
Government Guaranteed Lender growing SBA 7(a) lending and deposit relationships for Customers Bank. Building referral networks, managing portfolios, and pursuing a $10 million annual loan goal.
Responsibilities:
- Serve the banking needs of small businesses and build new relationships in the local business community
- Build a book of business and achieve an annual loan goal of $10 million
- Focus on owner-occupied commercial real estate, owner-operated businesses, and other SBA-eligible 7A loans
- Conduct sales and outreach through lead lists, internal and external referrals, COIs, cold calling, and other business-development activities
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and introduce Product partners to provide a full banking proposition
- Conduct joint calling and prospecting with Product partners
- Develop a targeted center-of-influence list and relationship-building plan to generate referral business
- Build the individual and Customers Bank market profile in the local community
- Use available resources and tools to manage calls, relationships, sales processes, and activities
- Make target numbers of in-person calls to prospects, customers, COIs, and internal partners
- Manage and develop a customer portfolio by deepening existing relationships
- Develop new lending and deposit business
- Use Salesforce and bank technology tools to follow processes and track productivity
- Maintain weekly and required pipeline reports
- Input credit applications and packages into Salesforce
Requirements:
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship, current or future
- 5+ years of experience in SBA 7a loan production
- Established network of referral partners (COIs/Brokers)
- Strong understanding of credit underwriting
- Strong business development skills
- General knowledge of SBA credit underwriting
- Ability to multitask
- Able to work in a changing high tech and mobile environment
- Able to work in a team environment
- Familiar with regulatory requirements for lending
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
