Job Description

Web Implementation Specialist building responsive, accessible WordPress websites for foreUP golf and club software customers. Managing content, QA, SEO, integrations, and technical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and update WordPress websites using approved designs, templates, content, and brand standards
  • Create responsive page layouts, navigation, forms, and reusable components using WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Configure themes, child themes, page builders, custom fields, plugins, and WordPress settings
  • Migrate and organize website content while improving formatting, usability, SEO, internal linking, metadata, and accessibility
  • Troubleshoot layout, styling, plugin, browser, mobile, hosting, performance, and integration issues
  • Complete website quality assurance across devices and browsers, including links, forms, navigation, redirects, tracking, and responsive layouts
  • Identify and correct common ADA/WCAG accessibility issues through automated scanning and manual testing
  • Apply SEO and GEO best practices, including page titles, headings, meta descriptions, image optimization, schema, redirects, and internal linking
  • Support configuration and validation of GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, conversion tracking, and approved integrations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues, improve website performance, and deliver projects on schedule
  • Document findings and implementation work

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on WordPress development, implementation, or technical website operations experience
  • Portfolio demonstrating complete WordPress websites and technical customization beyond basic content entry or page-builder use
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript, responsive design, browser compatibility, and code inspection
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting WordPress themes, plugins, templates, and site settings
  • Practical knowledge of website accessibility and WCAG best practices, including resolving ADA-related accessibility issues
  • Working knowledge of SEO and GEO/AI search optimization, including metadata, schema, internal linking, page speed, and mobile usability
  • Experience with website QA, responsive and browser testing, launch checklists, DNS, SSL, redirects, caching, backups, and deployments
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills to manage multiple website projects and deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in web development, Information Technology, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience with PHP, WordPress template hierarchy, hooks, filters, and safe customization practices
  • Experience with WP Engine or another managed WordPress host
  • Experience using accessibility testing tools and familiarity with ADA, Section 508, and VPAT/ACR documentation
  • Experience with GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, structured data, and SEO/GEO tools
  • Familiarity with Git, WordPress security, performance optimization, Core Web Vitals, and plugin management
  • Experience supporting multi-site programs, agencies, SaaS customers, golf courses, hospitality, recreation, or membership-based organizations
  • Eligible working rights in the United States of America and no sponsorship requirement
