Job Description
Workday HCM Analyst serving as SME for Time Tracking and Absence Modules at Altasciences. Responsible for configuration, maintenance, optimization, and support of Workday HCM for efficient processes.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as SME for assigned Workday Time Tracking and Absence Modules and any possible additional ones.
- Configure and maintain Workday business processes, eligibility rules, validations, calculated fields, condition rules, and security roles within HCM scope.
- Translate business needs (HR Ops, COEs, Payroll, IT) into scalable Workday solutions.
- Ensure system configuration aligns with business requirements, policies, and data governance standards.
- Perform impact analysis for configuration changes and ensure downstream process integrity.
- Manage intake, clarify scope and success criteria, communicate status/risks/dependencies, and deliver on time and in scope for small/mid initiatives.
- Participate in Workday’s semi‑annual releases: review notes, assess impacts, recommend and implement value‑add features.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, automate manual work, and improve user experience and data quality.
- Safeguard data quality and privacy across HCM; support audits and control requirements.
- Plan and execute unit/regression/UAT; maintain test evidence and change documentation.
- Build and maintain operational reports/dashboards within HCM scope; ensure accurate interpretation and actionable insights.
- Identify trends or data quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5+ years of experience in an Workday Analyst role
- Workday certifications an asset
- Strong understanding of Workday HCM architecture, business processes, and configuration principles
- Experience with Workday reporting (standard, advanced, calculated fields)
- Knowledge of HR data governance, controls, and audit considerations
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, concise, and audience-appropriate manner
- Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities
- High attention to detail and commitment to data quality
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Customer‑focused with a continuous improvement mindset.
