Job Description
Account Manager owning US university software relationships for Gecko. Driving renewals, expansion, partner outcomes, and strategic in-person engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Own a portfolio of university and college partners across the US
- Understand partner goals, priorities, challenges, usage and future plans
- Build trusted, multi-threaded relationships from day-to-day users to senior sponsors
- Develop success plans and account strategies tied to meaningful outcomes
- Monitor partner health, risk and opportunity
- Own renewals from early planning through agreement
- Demonstrate partner value and identify expansion opportunities
- Lead expansion opportunities through discovery, negotiation and close
- Carry renewal and expansion targets and maintain an accurate pipeline
- Run account reviews connecting partner outcomes to future opportunities
- Maintain accurate Salesforce records
- Visit university and college partners across the US
- Represent Gecko at higher-education conferences, exhibitions and partner events
- Act as strategic owner of partner relationships and coordinate Support, Product and other teams
- Deliver demos, account reviews, presentations and commercial conversations
- Collaborate with Commercial, Product, Support and Enablement teams
- Ensure commitments are completed and issues do not fall between the cracks
Requirements:
- US-based applicant
- Valid right to work in the US
- Based in the Eastern or Central time zones
- Experience owning a portfolio of accounts in a B2B SaaS business
- Direct responsibility for retention, renewals and expansion
- Experience managing complex or strategic accounts with multiple stakeholders and longer decision cycles
- Demonstrated commercial outcomes personally influenced through renewals, expansion, upsell or growth within existing accounts
- Comfortable discussing pricing, value, revenue and next steps
- Ability to uncover and properly progress opportunities
- Ability to lead meetings, demos, executive reviews and negotiations
- Organised, proactive and comfortable managing a portfolio, pipeline and regular travel
- Experience in Higher Education or EdTech is useful but not essential
