Job Description
Account Manager leading client relationships, financial management, and delivery of evidence-based medical communications programs for IQVIA. Coordinating global teams, budgets, timelines, and high-quality healthcare communications projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day delivery of selected projects and programs according to timelines and budget
- Coordinate internal account, project, program, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality work
- Contribute to financial performance through accurate scoping, budgeting, invoicing, revenue recognition, and project closeout
- Review project financial health and resolve challenges with Account Management colleagues
- Contribute to Account Growth Plans, strategic pricing initiatives, proposals, and sales or bid defence presentations
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships as the day-to-day project delivery contact
- Lead client project status discussions, including agendas, speakers, calls, and reports
- Communicate with clients about budgets, project changes, and reconciliations; handle negotiations
- Develop therapeutic landscape understanding and subject matter expertise in relevant service areas
- Coordinate project teams and resources, track milestones and timelines, and address delivery challenges
- Ensure project work follows SOPs, policies, and practices
- Manage project budgets and raise, approve, and track invoices
- Produce and distribute status, tracking, and financial reports
- Take responsibility for customer satisfaction and implement improvements
- Lead problem-solving and resolution efforts
- Train and mentor junior staff
- Present project information at internal team meetings
- Identify and implement process improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7 years relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry or agency environment, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Sound understanding of biopharmaceutical lifecycle strategy as it pertains to allocated Practice Areas and services
- Sound communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer literacy, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively through others in a global environment to deliver results
- Good leadership skills in a matrix environment and ability to guide and mentor junior staff
- Sound understanding of business strategy
- Excellent customer service skills
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients
