Job Description

Scientific Sales Account Manager expanding ACROBiosystems’ recombinant protein and life-science reagent business. Building biopharma customer relationships across the Massachusetts region and nearby New England states.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead commercial activities around outer Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Vermont
  • Develop key customers and increase the assigned territory’s customer base
  • Build customer relationships and provide all-around customer support
  • Manage commercial activities through customer-facing visits, presentations, phone calls, and emails
  • Work with managers and directors to develop and execute territory sales plans
  • Extend and develop relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Understand and communicate technical information with customers
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, Technical Support, and other internal teams
  • Attend tradeshows, association meetings, and networking events as necessary
  • Analyze customer profiles to strategize engagements
  • Report territory sales achievements and opportunities internally across departments
  • Complete other projects or responsibilities as required
  • Represent ACROBiosystems, a worldwide developer and manufacturer of recombinant proteins and critical reagents/assays supporting drug development and clinical applications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, or related discipline
  • Bachelor’s degree requires 4+ years of relevant experience in the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry; Master’s degree requires 2+ years
  • 1+ years of sales or customer-facing experience in the life science industry
  • Relevant experience preferably involving development or manufacturing of cell and gene or antibody/protein therapeutics
  • Ability to understand and apply scientific concepts in a sales process
  • Ability to critically think about market and customer dynamics while developing customer engagement strategy
  • Ability to explain and sell the technical aspects of ACROBiosystems’ portfolios
  • Experience with ELISA, SPR, BLI, FACS, or immune cell culture
  • Experience in antibody or cell and gene therapy therapeutic fields
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and with teams
  • Fluent in Mandarin is preferred
  • Travel within the territory 40–50% of the time
