Job Description
Account Specialist driving dermatology pharmaceutical sales across South London and South East England for AbbVie. Managing healthcare-professional engagement, territory plans, NHS stakeholders, and brand strategy execution.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the direct contact for key stakeholders and communicate AbbVie's value proposition
- Execute in-field brand strategy
- Develop customer relationships and maximise opportunities through account plans
- Own customer engagement for target healthcare professionals across channels and drive sales
- Develop SMART pre-call objectives aligned with territory plans and brand strategy
- Handle objections and secure clear calls to action on sales calls
- Build peer-to-peer relationships with customers and challenge the status quo
- Educate medical providers, decision-makers, and affiliated healthcare professionals
- Identify and develop disease-state experts and build advocacy
- Gather market intelligence and organise stakeholder meetings
- Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition from competitors
- Develop clinical, product, market, disease, and competitive intelligence
- Navigate NHS ecosystem barriers and identify collaborative opportunities
- Share best practices and implement a personal growth plan
- Analyse sales reports and field intelligence to adapt territory plans
- Collaborate with medical and market access colleagues on customer needs and regional/national programmes
- Develop and execute a territory business plan aligned with brand strategy
- Target and track resources to maximise sales opportunities
- Adhere to industry and AbbVie compliance requirements
Requirements:
- Proven pharmaceutical sales success
- Strong communication and customer engagement skills
- Ability to challenge the status quo
- Solutions-focused, positive attitude
- Strategic mindset
- Data analytics proficiency for data-driven decision-making
- Excellent team player
- Immunology and/or specialty secondary care experience advantageous but not essential
- ABPI qualified
- Full driving license
