Job Description

Account Supervisor leading 3–5 client accounts for Mixte, a justice-focused communications agency. Managing strategy, creative delivery, budgets, teams, and new business.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Principal’s eyes and ears on client accounts and the team
  • Report to a Principal and collaborate daily with Directors, the Communication Manager, and Strategists
  • Act as a strategic thought partner with the Principal on 3–5 client accounts
  • Draft strategies and Momentum Models
  • Lead a portfolio of 3–5 client accounts and develop long-term client relationships
  • Ensure billing stays within approved client budgets
  • Allocate team-member tasks and assigned hours
  • Maintain cumulative staff hours within 5% of each client’s budget
  • Facilitate collaboration and identify creative solutions to complete projects
  • Prioritize public relations, digital community building, and strategic communications tasks
  • Match team members to tasks and anticipate project capacity needs
  • Anticipate and respond to client concerns
  • Help develop solutions for processes, trends, company-wide systems, and shared client/team needs
  • Schedule, lead, and document creative-team and client meetings
  • Track project progress against goals, objectives, and timelines
  • Develop and manage complex project timelines, workloads, and deliverables
  • Collaborate with strategists to develop high-quality client work advancing social justice issues
  • Review incoming requests and briefs and obtain additional information as needed
  • Oversee communications deliverables, including client strategy, campaign briefs, messaging frameworks, audience personas, creative assets, and written content
  • Cultivate and earn new business through proposals and outreach goals

Requirements:

  • Must currently reside in either the San Diego or Atlanta metropolitan areas; relocation is not being considered
  • At least 6 years of experience in a communications or marketing agency (non-negotiable)
  • At least 4 years of proven supervisory experience managing 4–6 mid-level professionals
  • Exceptional decision-making, organizational skills, attention to detail, urgency, and follow-through
  • Exceptional communication and public speaking skills
  • Experience in Asana, Slack, and Google Workspace preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, cultural humility, and learning
  • High emotional intelligence and long-term relationship-building ability
  • Experience working in an agency setting
  • Experience in a 100% remote working environment
