Job Description
Associate Faculty teaching business intelligence in Post University’s online accelerated degree program. Delivering instruction, evaluating performance and coaching students remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized learning and student coaching experiences
- Support student learning in assigned courses
- Facilitate assigned classes according to learning outcomes and syllabi
- Manage classroom conduct and academic engagement
- Work with the Assistant/Program Chair and Student Advising to address student concerns
- Evaluate student performance using course deliverables and rubrics
- Post interim grades in the Blackboard Grade Center
- Post final grades in WebReg and the Blackboard Grade Center when applicable
- Participate in discussion boards, class discussions and chat sessions
- Submit assignment, discussion board, exam and course completion grades promptly
- Participate in and coordinate end-of-class “close the loop” meetings with APM as required
- Maintain subject matter expertise in data mining, data management, business performance management and dashboards, business intelligence tools, decision support and intelligent systems
- Adhere to university policies, procedures, protocols, best practices and applicable laws
Requirements:
- Applicable terminal degree required
- Directly related doctoral-level degree required
- Significant experience in the area of instruction
- Official college transcripts must be on file with Associate Experience/Human Resources for employment consideration
- Ability to teach students online using Blackboard
- Computer and systems usage competency
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Tableau, R and Power BI desired
- Flexibility to adapt to a changing and dynamic environment
- Integrity and work ethic
- Superior relationship-building skills with students or associates
- Affinity for the mission of higher education
