Job Description

Associate Principal Technical Writer leading documentation for Saviynt’s AI-powered identity and access-security platform. Shaping agentic, AI-enabled documentation workflows and mentoring technical writers.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently explore, configure, and test complex cloud-native security capabilities, including AI-powered capabilities
  • Create configuration guides, integration instructions, API references, troubleshooting resources, online help content, release notes, and product feature guides
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and subject matter experts to translate complex technical details into accessible content
  • Own documentation strategy and execution for cloud-native identity and AI security capabilities from development through release and ongoing improvements
  • Investigate technical scenarios involving cloud infrastructure, AI agents, non-human identities, authentication and authorization, APIs, and runtime access controls
  • Design, implement, and scale AI-enabled and agentic documentation workflows for content generation, validation, quality improvement, and retrieval readiness
  • Lead major documentation initiatives from conception through delivery
  • Mentor and guide other technical writers
  • Analyze documentation usage, performance data, and stakeholder feedback to identify knowledge gaps and drive measurable improvement
  • Help shape Saviynt’s agentic documentation strategy and AI-ready content practices

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of technical writing or technical content development experience for enterprise software
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, English, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrated experience designing and developing documentation for technically complex, cloud-native products, preferably in security or identity management
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing, enterprise security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and AI security concepts
  • Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, JWT, and policy-based access control
  • Experience applying generative AI/LLM technologies to documentation or knowledge workflows
  • Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts and AI/LLM-ready content
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs, Git-based workflows, Markdown, Jira, and modern documentation platforms
  • Familiarity with AI security concepts, AI agents, and non-human identities
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming using Python or JavaScript and docs-as-code/CI/CD workflows
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and subject matter experts
  • Skill in mentoring and developing colleagues
  • Adherence to Saviynt’s information security and privacy policies and procedures, including annual security training
