Job Description

Technical writer producing Government-ready ICAM study reports for Koniag Government Services. Documenting identity architecture, governance, compliance, and implementation roadmaps for the Department of the Air Force.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary author and documentation coordinator for three Technical Study Reports under Task Order 0003
  • Establish and maintain documentation frameworks, style guides, and formatting standards
  • Conduct interviews and working sessions with engineers, architects, and subject matter experts
  • Translate complex technical inputs into clear content for technical reviewers and senior non-technical decision-makers
  • Develop and maintain documentation production schedules, milestones, review cycles, and approval gates
  • Draft, edit, and finalize CDO-L, NPE Governance and Management Strategy, and DAF365 JML Transformation Framework Technical Study Reports
  • Develop traceability matrices mapping PWS requirements to report content
  • Coordinate compliance mapping, regulatory citations, policy alignment, licensing analysis, cost estimates, and Microsoft identity architecture documentation
  • Develop architectural diagrams, process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, and decision matrices
  • Manage internal reviews, revisions, comment resolution, and version control
  • Prepare draft reports for Government submission and incorporate Government feedback
  • Maintain the master documentation repository and supporting reference materials
  • Support draft Performance Work Statements for subsequent implementation Task Orders
  • Assist with program status communications, meeting minutes, and internal coordination documents

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Journalism, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing or documentation development supporting Defense or Federal government IT programs
  • Demonstrated experience producing formal Government deliverable reports, technical study reports, or equivalent documentation products for Defense or Federal agency programs
  • Experience working within cross-functional engineering and technical teams to gather, synthesize, and document complex technical content
  • Active Secret security clearance; final adjudication required prior to assignment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including advanced formatting, styles management, table of contents generation, cross-referencing, and document version control
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience developing and maintaining traceability matrices
  • Ability to manage documentation production schedules across multiple concurrent deliverables
  • Experience coordinating multi-contributor document review cycles, tracking review comments, managing version control, and resolving conflicting technical inputs
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalent diagram and process flow tools
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT, cybersecurity, and identity and access management concepts
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency in terminology, formatting, citation style, and document structure
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team under the direction of a Program Manager
  • Exceptional written and oral English communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
