Job Description

Business Development Executive fostering partnerships for Journey Beyond's tourism experiences in New Zealand. Engaging in training and strategic growth initiatives while representing the brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Building strong, lasting relationships with retail, wholesale, OTA and ITO partners across New Zealand
  • Supporting the development and delivery of growth strategies and revenue targets
  • Planning and hosting engaging in‑person and virtual training sessions
  • Representing Journey Beyond at trade shows, exhibitions and consumer events
  • Helping plan and roll out in‑market campaigns that deliver real ROI
  • Identifying new business opportunities and potential income streams
  • Supporting new account setup and ongoing key account management
  • Keeping partner websites, brochures and imagery accurate and up to date
  • Maintaining clean, accurate records in our CRM (Salesforce preferred)
  • Collaborating with our sales, marketing, reservations, revenue and operations teams
  • Rolling up your sleeves to support trade partners when needed

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in sales and/or business development
  • Experience promoting or selling Australian tourism experiences
  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • A knack for delivering engaging training sessions (tourism experience a big plus)
  • Excellent organisation and time‑management skills
  • A creative, proactive mindset and sales‑driven approach
  • Confidence working independently in a home‑based role
  • CRM experience (Salesforce highly regarded)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Flexibility to travel and work outside standard office hours when required
  • Previous experience in the tourism industry is preferred as well as having a background in sales and partnership management.
  • A post-graduate qualification in a Tourism or related field is desirable.
