Job Description
Business Development Operations Manager overseeing business development strategies and AI tool integration. Focused on growth, market opportunities, and team management in the tech industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with organizational revenue goals
- Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams to expand the company's footprint
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline from prospecting through to close
- Conduct competitive market analysis and translate insights into actionable growth initiatives
- Collaborate with senior leadership to set quarterly and annual business development targets
- Design, implement, and continuously improve end-to-end business development workflows and SOPs
- Oversee CRM management, pipeline hygiene, and reporting to ensure data accuracy and visibility
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics, presenting regular reports to leadership with actionable recommendations
- Streamline handoff processes between business development, sales, and account management teams
- Manage and mentor a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs), ensuring alignment with company goals
- Identify, evaluate, and implement AI-powered business development tools to enhance prospecting, outreach, and lead qualification
- Leverage AI tools for lead generation, personalized outreach automation, sentiment analysis, and predictive forecasting
- Stay ahead of emerging AI and sales technology trends and proactively recommend tools that improve efficiency and conversion rates
- Train and upskill team members on AI tools and technology platforms to ensure maximum adoption and ROI
- Integrate AI-driven insights into decision-making processes across the business development lifecycle
- Build and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, vendors, and clients
- Lead high-value client meetings, discovery calls, and presentations
- Develop tailored value propositions and pitches for target verticals and industries
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in business development, sales operations, or a related role
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on experience with AI business development tools such as: Outreach, Apollo.io, HubSpot AI, Salesforce Einstein, Copy.ai, ChatGPT for sales workflows, Gong, Lavender, Clay, or similar platforms
- Strong proficiency with CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, GoHighLevel, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience building and scaling business development teams and processes from the ground up
