Job Description
Business Development Representative generating qualified meetings and pipeline for GitLab’s DevSecOps platform. Prospecting Enterprise and Mid-Market accounts across Australia through calls, email, social, and marketing collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound lead flow and execute outbound prospecting initiatives
- Conduct high-level discovery conversations in target accounts
- Meet or exceed BDR-sourced Sales Accepted Opportunity volume targets
- Develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging with teammates
- Research accounts, identify key players and compelling events, generate interest, and develop accounts
- Execute calls, emails, social touches, and other outreach using Outreach.io
- Manage, track, and report activities and results using Salesforce
- Document processes in the GitLab handbook and update them with the Sales Development Manager
- Collaborate with Field and Corporate Marketing to drive attendance at regional marketing events
- Attend field marketing events, engage participants, identify opportunities, and schedule meetings
- Mentor new BDR hires
- Develop targeted marketing tactics with Digital Marketing
- Refine BDR strategies and drive measurable results
- Work with Field and Digital Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Account Executives across AUNZ
Requirements:
- Professional proficiency in English; proficiency in other Asian languages is a plus
- Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, and strong writing skills
- A self-starter with a track record of successful, credible achievements
- Knowledge of business process, roles, and organizational structure
- Experience in developing Enterprise and Mid-Market business in Australia
- Persistence in meeting or exceeding targets through consistent follow-up, effective objection handling, and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated interest in GitLab and the DevOps space
- Proficient in Salesforce, including Salesforce reporting, and LinkedIn
- Previous tech industry experience
- Experience in sales development, marketing, and/or sales
- Outbound prospecting experience
