Job Description

Business Development Representative generating pipeline by sourcing ideal customers for SafetyChain. Excelling in outbound sales and developing executive-level communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively source and engage outbound prospects aligned to SafetyChain’s ideal customer profile.
  • Research target accounts and customize emails and messaging for senior executives.
  • Execute outbound outreach across phone, email, and LinkedIn with consistency and intention.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospect challenges, priorities, and buying context.
  • Qualify opportunities based on defined criteria and schedule high-quality discovery calls for Account Executives.
  • Maintain accurate activity tracking, notes, and lead status within HubSpot CRM.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to ensure strong handoffs and feedback loops.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to align on messaging, target segments, and market insights.
  • Continuously refine outreach strategy, objection handling, and executive-level positioning.

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience in sales, business development, or sales-adjacent roles (BDR, SDR, inside sales, account management, or quota-carrying roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect outbound, manage a daily activity cadence, and generate pipeline against clear performance targets.
  • Coachable and growth-oriented; receptive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, follow-ups, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Confident, professional communicator who can engage senior-level stakeholders with clarity and credibility.
  • Able to build rapport quickly while keeping conversations focused on business outcomes.
  • Comfortable learning and using modern sales tools (e.g., HubSpot, ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator, Outreach); prior experience with these tools is a plus.
  • Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership of outcomes and adapts quickly when something isn’t working.
  • Motivated to grow within a sales and revenue organization and develop deeper industry expertise over time.
