Job Description
Business Manager supporting operations and project coordination in a creative media and marketing studio. Focused on efficiency and management across various teams and financial tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Operations & Systems Management (Priority) Build, document, and improve internal systems and workflows
- Ensure processes are structured, repeatable, and scalable
- Maintain organized documentation across projects and teams
- Project Coordination Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and task tracking
- Coordinate across teams to ensure smooth execution
- Manage tools such as Notion, Asana, or similar platforms
- Financial Oversight Handle invoicing, expense tracking, and basic bookkeeping coordination
- Support budget tracking and simple financial reporting
- Ensure business transactions are properly recorded and organized
- Administrative & HR Support Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes
- Maintain internal records and documentation
- Assist with contractor coordination and payments
- Reporting & Communication Prepare weekly/monthly operational summaries
- Identify gaps, risks, and areas for improvement
- Serve as a central point of coordination across internal teams
- Founder / Leadership Support Assist with strategic initiatives and ad hoc projects
- Support execution of key business priorities
Requirements:
- At least 2+ years of experience in Operations Management / Business Operations (startup, operations lead, or business manager role)
- Good English communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical decisions
- Experience building and improving operational workflows using tools such as Notion, Asana, and Google Workspace (built on cloud-based collaboration systems)
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and remote teams using collaboration platforms like Slack, Zoom, and WhatsApp (built on an internet-based communication infrastructure)
- Strong experience in project coordination, task tracking, and timeline management using structured project management methodologies
- Financial literacy with hands-on experience in invoicing, budgeting, expense tracking, and basic bookkeeping processes (supported by spreadsheet tools and cloud accounting systems)
- Experience managing contractors across different time zones and handling remote workforce coordination
- Strong documentation and reporting skills using collaborative documentation tools (e.g., knowledge bases and shared document systems)
- Ability to work independently with reliable internet and remote work infrastructure.
