Job Description
Commercial Content Editor at Bitcoin.com, a crypto content and onboarding platform. Writing, editing, and scaling compliant sponsored content across editorial and marketing formats.
Responsibilities:
- Write and edit commercial content across branded articles, product and project reviews, sponsored guides, written interviews, social content, newsletter sponsorships, and display/banner ad creatives
- Own compliance with commercial content guidelines through periodic audits and spot checks
- Route specialist content to writers with relevant subject-matter expertise
- Propose guideline updates to Marketing and Legal leadership
- Evaluate Sales/BD requests for guideline exceptions and escalate reasonable cases to the Head of BD
- Manage and prioritize commercial content requests while coordinating with editorial, design, and Sales/BD
- Build and scale the commercial content function as the sponsor and partner product suite grows
Requirements:
- 5+ years in content, editorial, or media roles
- Meaningful people/process leadership experience
- Track record owning editorial or compliance standards across a team or content pipeline
- Experience working directly with Sales/BD or sponsorship teams
- Strong judgment balancing business and sponsor needs against brand and compliance risk
- Strong writing and editing ability across commercial/sponsored formats
- Strong command of English, written and verbal
- Familiarity with WordPress, Google Docs, and AI-assisted writing/research tools
- Senior-level experience in fast-paced media, publishing, or content operations
- Comfortable serving as the point of contact between Sales/BD, Marketing, News, and Legal/Compliance
- Experience in crypto, fintech, or adjacent industries is nice to have
- Background in branded content, native advertising, or sponsored editorial at scale is nice to have
- Experience setting up or scaling a commercial content function is nice to have
