Job Description
Commercial Lines Account Manager serving commercial insurance clients for Brown & Brown, a global insurance brokerage. Supporting Producers with applications, renewals, coverage placement, documentation, and client service.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Producers in placing new and renewal business
- Prepare and send Future ACORD applications to market for renewal indications
- Issue certificates of insurance, auto insurance ID cards, and other appropriate documentation
- Compose or assist with highly technical or sensitive correspondence
- Translate highly technical information for clients
- Compile applications, negotiate with underwriters, and prepare proposals for new and renewal business
- Resolve policy and coverage concerns for clients, insurance carriers, and Producers
- Communicate negative actions to clients while offering solutions
- Bind or place coverage with acceptable carriers within appropriate binding authority
- Set up and maintain electronic files in the Agency Management System, including data entry and client and policy database maintenance
- Provide exceptional service to commercial insurance clients while supporting Producers in placement of new and renewal business
- Stay current on industry trends to deliver informed guidance and solutions
Requirements:
- Current Washington State Insurance License and appropriate Non-Resident Licenses
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3–5 years of recent agency experience servicing a multi-line commercial lines book of business
- Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Working knowledge of carrier websites (Preferred)
- Experience with AMS360 and ImageRight (Preferred)
- Ability to drive own or rental vehicle when travel is required
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record report at hire and periodically thereafter, when applicable
- Maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages when applicable
- Professional designation such as ACSR, CIC, CPCU, or CISR (Preferred)
