Job Description
New Business Account Manager selling Signode’s transit packaging products and services to new accounts in greater Dallas. Hunting prospects, growing underperforming accounts, and driving consultative packaging sales.
Responsibilities:
- Hunt for new customers and engage lower-spend current customers with significant growth opportunity
- Meet or exceed sales goals
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities
- Sell Signode’s complete portfolio through a consultative, solutions-driven approach
- Manage selected underperforming existing accounts with significant upside
- Own accounts temporarily and hand them off to the Account Manager team after unlocking growth
- Drive wins across consumables products
- Prepare proposals, contracts/agreements, and sales presentations
- Support lead-generation activities and uncover new opportunities
- Maintain a lead pipeline and forecast potential wins
- Build networks and relationships with industry leaders
- Maintain current sales opportunities and customer records in CRM
- Provide insight to product management, product development, and equipment sales teams
- Share market opportunities and competitive information for sales and marketing strategy
- Collaborate with internal teams on account management, projects, and department initiatives
- Coordinate with finance to establish new accounts in applicable ERP systems
- Work with Customer Service, Regional Sales, and Inside Sales teams
- Arrange a Time and Territory Management Plan to maximize sales efficiency
- Participate in training and development opportunities
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Business, Sales or similar field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least 3 years in sales
- Strong experience in landing new leads and selling prospects
- Must live in the greater Dallas, TX area
- Willingness to travel overnight up to 70%, depending on geographical region
- Knowledge of Signode’s products and applications to sell solutions that meet customer needs
- Strong mechanical and manufacturing aptitude
- Ability to use a CRM
- Ability to read dashboards on Power BI
- General MS Office proficiency
- Strong technology skills
- Social media knowledge to drive current-customer and prospect engagement
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; the company does not sponsor employment-based visas
