Job Description

Country Manager leading RedotPay’s operations and growth in Mexico. Ensuring compliance and driving strategic partnerships in the fintech and crypto sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as local director/legal representative of the Mexican entity, ensuring full compliance with corporate, tax, legal, data protection, and consumer protection requirements.
  • Serve as or oversee the MLRO/key compliance officer for AML registration under LFPIORPI (virtual assets and credit card activities) and support fintech licensing (e.g., IFPE under Ley Fintech) with CNBV and Banxico.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulators (CNBV, Banxico, UIF, SHCP, SAT) and industry bodies.
  • Oversee licensing applications, regulatory engagements, and ongoing compliance.
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage partnerships with local banks (e.g., BBVA, Banorte, Citibanamex), payment processors, card networks, and financial institutions for fiat on/off-ramps, SPEI, and credit card support.
  • Collaborate with Product and Operations teams to optimize local integrations and service delivery.
  • Drive user acquisition, market share, and revenue growth in Mexico.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new products (crypto payments, virtual assets, credit cards).

Requirements:

  • Meets regulatory “fit and proper” requirements for key personnel in Mexican fintech/financial services.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • Certifications in Mexican financial regulations (AML/CFT, fintech) are a strong plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in fintech, payments, banking, or crypto in Mexico/LATAM, with at least 2 years in senior leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of crypto/blockchain, Mexican regulations (Ley Fintech, LFPIORPI, CNBV/Banxico rules), and local market dynamics.
  • Proven track record in business development, strategic partnerships (especially with banks and payment providers), and scaling operations in Mexico.
  • Established network with Mexican banks, regulators, and fintech players is highly advantageous.
  • Native or professional fluency in Spanish and professional proficiency in English.
