Job Description

Learning and Development Director advancing leadership programs and enterprise HR initiatives for U.S. Anesthesia Partners. Leading L&D strategy, team development, succession planning, and DEI-B programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Set and maintain the organization’s Learning & Development vision and strategy
  • Establish and maintain L&D programs and processes aligned with organizational strategy
  • Collaborate with physician leadership teams on the design, delivery, and refinement of the USAP Leadership Academy and other development programs
  • Develop and drive enterprise-wide HR initiatives including onboarding, succession planning, and learning initiatives
  • Communicate L&D offerings to leadership, teammates, and key stakeholders
  • Evaluate the balance between just-in-time, on-demand training and in-person offerings
  • Assess organizational employee and leadership development needs with HR leaders and using employee relations, people insights/analytics, and benefits information
  • Identify and evaluate new learning and organizational development initiatives and communicate them to target populations
  • Establish project visions, action plans, execution processes, and success measurements
  • Recommend program effectiveness improvements and future programs to the HR Leadership team
  • Evaluate processes, identify efficiency opportunities, and execute recommendations
  • Monitor organizational development and learning trends, technology, and best practices and adapt them to USAP’s culture and needs
  • Manage the learning and development budget and establish ROI and success metrics
  • Prepare and manage communications for L&D initiatives
  • Supervise staff, ensure accurate and timely completion of work, participate in performance reviews, and establish individual and team goals
  • Lead, engage, and grow the L&D team and develop team capabilities
  • Foster collaboration between the Talent team and other HR teams
  • Evaluate L&D programs through a diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging lens
  • Coach the team and business leaders on DEI-B in employee learning and development
  • Gather and maintain L&D data aligned with USAP’s DEI-B initiatives
  • Apply DEI-B best practices to development programs, processes, and practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as HR or Business
  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred
  • 7+ years of professional experience in Organizational Development, Talent Development, Leadership Development, or related Human Resources work
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership capacity
  • 2+ years of experience managing and growing a team of capable professionals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Project, and Excel
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence individuals at all organizational levels, including external vendors and service providers
  • Proven track record executing programs aligned with strategic enterprise-wide objectives in a dynamic, high-growth environment
  • Planning, coordination, and resource management experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to identify issues, understand solutions, and propose solutions proactively and efficiently
  • Ability to collaborate in decision-making and facilitate consensus
  • Ability to balance tactical team needs with strategic business perspectives
  • Ability to work autonomously and deliver results in ambiguous, uncertain, frequently changing, or unexpected situations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally with all levels of management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent technical writing skills for developing, implementing, and maintaining documentation
  • Professional fluency in written and spoken English
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation
