Job Description
AbbVie neuroscience district manager leading field teams and sales plans for chronic migraine, spasticity, and movement-disorder medicines. Coaching representatives and driving regional commercial performance.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate commercial activity within in-field teams to achieve sales targets in an assigned geography
- Create, implement, communicate, and monitor the District Sales Plan
- Maximize market, segment, and team dynamics to drive top- and bottom-line results
- Ensure smooth collaboration in day-to-day and long-term business execution
- Set the tone and pace for business processes and organization
- Present market and franchise/business perspectives to teams
- Develop mastery of product, disease-state, and managed-care information
- Lead and champion in-field meetings
- Coach, mentor, educate, and develop direct and indirect team members
- Hold direct reports accountable to behaviors and expectations
- Provide direction and insights to key internal partners during business planning
- Consistently exemplify AbbVie’s Ways of Working
- Drive a personal auto, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
- Business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to articulate scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas
- Proven ability to deliver candid, effective feedback and efficiently manage performance
- Ability to develop talent for promotional opportunities
- Ability to create a culture of winning and full team engagement
- Ability to collaborate and influence without authority across organizations
- Ability to model AbbVie’s Ways of Working
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
- Must satisfy applicable healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements
- Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain required HCIR credentials
- May require background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses
- Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time
