Job Description
Enterprise Project Manager leading customer-facing diagnostic implementations for Abbott’s global healthcare business. Coordinating cross-functional teams from pre-sales through go-live, hypercare, and closure.
Responsibilities:
- Lead complex customer-facing diagnostic implementation projects across large healthcare systems
- Serve as the primary project leader from pre-sales planning through go-live, hypercare, and project closure
- Lead projects spanning multiple facilities, regions, or health systems
- Develop and execute implementation plans, project schedules, resource strategies, and risk mitigation activities
- Support pre-sales planning with implementation expertise, operational guidance, and timeline development
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer leadership teams
- Facilitate executive reviews, governance meetings, project status updates, and escalation management
- Translate customer requirements into implementation plans integrating hardware, software, automation, informatics, and workflow solutions
- Coordinate activities across Sales, Informatics, Automation, Clinical Applications, Service Engineering, Operations, and customer teams
- Lead cross-functional teams, drive accountability, and resolve implementation issues
- Manage stakeholder alignment as priorities, resources, or requirements evolve
- Oversee customer readiness, validation, and go-live preparation
- Coordinate issue resolution during implementation, testing, validation, and post-go-live support
- Guide projects through stabilization and hypercare until successful closure
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years of experience leading customer-facing project implementations in healthcare, healthcare IT, medical devices, diagnostics, enterprise technology, or a related technical environment
- Experience managing business-to-business implementations involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Experience leading projects involving software, hardware, workflow transformation, systems integration, or operational improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to influence and lead teams without direct reporting authority
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the Central United States
- PMP certification preferred
- Experience supporting laboratory diagnostics, healthcare informatics, automation, middleware, healthcare technology, or enterprise software solutions preferred
- Experience managing both technical and operational project implementations preferred
- Experience leading complex, multimillion-dollar implementation projects preferred
- Experience supporting customer solution planning and pre-sales implementation activities preferred
- Experience supporting large health systems, enterprise healthcare customers, or highly regulated environments preferred
