Job Description

Enterprise Sales Engineer helping German organizations secure open-source software with Chainguard. Demonstrating Chainguard products, leading technical sales evaluations, and growing enterprise customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess prospects’ technical requirements and apply Chainguard product knowledge to demonstrate how deals address client needs
  • Cultivate relationships with decision-makers at all organizational levels
  • Negotiate competing needs among multiple stakeholders
  • Secure technical wins through product demos, RFP/RFI responses, and leading POVs/POCs
  • Partner with engineering on requested features
  • Participate in conferences, webinars, meetups, and other industry or marketing events
  • Partner with the Sales Team to help customers evaluate and prove solution value
  • Acquire new customer logos and grow the existing customer base
  • Own all technical aspects of sales opportunities
  • Help current customers understand Chainguard’s value
  • Listen to customers and understand their challenges

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Sales Engineer / Pre-Sales Engineer
  • Experience with MEDDPICC and/or Command of the Message sales frameworks
  • 3+ years of experience selling into Enterprise and experience with Mid Market prospects
  • Experience with container technologies, including Kubernetes, Serverless, and Docker
  • Experience with cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
  • Experience with cloud security or container security
  • Experience with application security
  • Startup experience
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor and build credibility with customers
  • Strong team-player orientation and willingness to help and mentor peers
  • German and English speaker
  • Must be located in Germany
