Job Description

Executive Search Consultant supporting market mapping and outreach across senior leadership mandates. Analyzing markets deeply and engaging senior leaders with credibility and sound judgment.

Responsibilities:

  • Build detailed market maps for executive search assignments, identifying target organizations and senior leaders across relevant sectors
  • Analyze organizational structures to understand reporting lines, succession paths, and role adjacency
  • Develop long‑lists and talent landscapes that reflect capability, context, and market nuance—not keyword matching
  • Track market intelligence including leadership moves, compensation signals, and organizational changes
  • Identify prospective candidates using LinkedIn, proprietary databases, and targeted research
  • Draft and execute thoughtful, discreet outreach to senior leaders on behalf of the firm
  • Conduct initial screening conversations when appropriate, capturing motivation, career context, and alignment
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, responses, and market feedback
  • Support active searches through structured research updates and candidate tracking
  • Prepare first drafts of candidate summaries, market overviews, and client‑ready updates
  • Assist in calibrating talent pools based on client feedback and evolving role definitions
  • Contribute to ongoing talent‑mapping initiatives aligned with priority clients and sectors
  • Support business development research, including market scans, role benchmarking, and competitor analysis
  • Help maintain the firm’s research standards, templates, and internal knowledge base

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in executive search research, market intelligence, professional services, recruiting, consulting, or a similarly analytical role
  • Experience in financial services, insurance, pensions, asset management, or professional services is an asset (not required)
  • Undergraduate degree required
