Job Description
Field Engineer assisting Project Manager with project planning and execution at Red Dog Mine in Alaska. Responsible for technical activities, project schedules, and client communications.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in planning and execution of project plans at site.
- Coordination of all technical activities on assigned project.
- Manage project engineering schedules and forecasts.
- Coordination and checking engineering deliverables.
- Planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects.
- Perform material take offs and labor estimates.
- Extensive regular contact with assigned project clients.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals.
- Budget monitoring and trend tracking.
- Participate in client/contractor meetings and resolving client/engineering and management project issues.
- Generate change order, redlines and RFI’s.
- Ensure effective engineering and client communications.
- Prepare written estimate narratives and bid clarifications.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent or ten (10) years related experience will be considered.
- Minimum five (5) years experience in mechanical and piping systems.
- Minimum five (5) years of related Engineering industry experience.
- Previous experience with fabricating and installing pipelines preferred
- Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.
