Job Description

Field Engineer assisting Project Manager with project planning and execution at Red Dog Mine in Alaska. Responsible for technical activities, project schedules, and client communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning and execution of project plans at site.
  • Coordination of all technical activities on assigned project.
  • Manage project engineering schedules and forecasts.
  • Coordination and checking engineering deliverables.
  • Planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects.
  • Perform material take offs and labor estimates.
  • Extensive regular contact with assigned project clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals.
  • Budget monitoring and trend tracking.
  • Participate in client/contractor meetings and resolving client/engineering and management project issues.
  • Generate change order, redlines and RFI’s.
  • Ensure effective engineering and client communications.
  • Prepare written estimate narratives and bid clarifications.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent or ten (10) years related experience will be considered.
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in mechanical and piping systems.
  • Minimum five (5) years of related Engineering industry experience.
  • Previous experience with fabricating and installing pipelines preferred
  • Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.
