Job Description

Field Sales Representative growing IKA’s process-technology sales across Nigeria. Managing customers, channel partners, leads, and revenue opportunities for global laboratory and process-equipment company.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent IKA externally and actively contribute to strengthening our brand image.
  • Create awareness and generate sales opportunities through a variety of marketing and sales activities.
  • Be the local contact for IKA Process customers and channel partners and maintain strong relationships.
  • Visit existing and potential new customers/channel partners to present IKA Process solutions.
  • Identify and qualify sales leads and grow a healthy opportunity pipeline across targeted industries.
  • Close sales deals and achieve revenue KPIs for assigned territory.
  • Maintain a clean, up-to-date customer database in IKA CRM system.
  • Support local channel partners in promoting the IKA brand to expand market share and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Implement local sales and marketing activities directed by the sales management including exhibitions, workshops, trials and training.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide feedback on IKA’s portfolio.
  • Prepare timely reports and attend scheduled meetings with management to provide feedback on sales activities and plans, market trends and competition activities.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Technical or any Science-related course
  • At least 1-year proven experience in technical sales
  • Basic understanding of IKA processing technology, products and applications
  • Good knowledge of West African manufacturing industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills - English language (spoken and written a must)
  • Knowledge of French will be an added advantage.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Aggressive, highly motivated and outgoing personality
  • Reliable, respectful and professional demeanor – high emphasis on integrity and accountability
  • Quick learner with a strong desire for knowledge
  • Identification with the IKA brand – experience with multinational company a plus
  • Holder of valid driving license and own car desirable.
