Job Description

Field Service Engineer installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Entegris liquid and gas equipment. Supporting semiconductor manufacturing customers across Japan and overseas.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with liquid and gas equipment installation
  • Troubleshoot liquid and gas equipment
  • Perform liquid/gas canister changes
  • Facilitate prompt return of empty cylinders and canisters
  • Install new or modified equipment at customer facilities according to specifications
  • Provide on-site technical assistance to troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Maintain performance reports
  • Assist in developing service handbooks and bulletins based on field investigations, engineering changes, and product knowledge
  • Serve as a communication link between customers and the company
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with installation, troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and engineering change upgrades
  • Attend personal and technical training to maintain professional engineering expertise

Requirements:

  • Two-year technical school degree in engineering, science or chemistry field required
  • Four-year college degree is a positive
  • 3+ years of experience in field support/service or similar experience with a capital equipment company required
  • CVD/CMP/WET module EE&PE experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer interacting skills
  • Self-driven and interested in continuous improvement and learning the semiconductor industry
  • Willingness to travel within Japan and overseas
  • On-duty phone and 24-hour on-call standby requirement
