Job Description
Field Service Engineer troubleshooting, repairing, and installing Alcon laser surgical equipment across the Southeast. Supporting hospitals and customers while driving maintenance-contract renewals.
Responsibilities:
- Support Alcon equipment throughout the Southeast territory at customer and demonstration sites
- Handle complex technical tasks to ensure Alcon equipment functions according to specifications
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Alcon surgical equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance, installations, and upgrades
- Escalate issues to relevant engineering teams
- Manage daily schedules and maintain timely communication with customers, dispatch, managers, regional teams, and cross-functional teams
- Follow GxP regulations and SOPs while maintaining accurate and complete documentation
- Complete required training and meet individual job requirements
- Develop customer relationships to secure future business, including Annual Maintenance Contract and Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract sales and renewals
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent years of directly related experience
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Fluency in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English
- Experience working with advanced medical devices and medical devices that use lasers
- Familiarity with hospital operating room and surgery center protocols
- Working knowledge of ServiceMax / CRM tools
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Approximately 30% overnight travel
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, maintain, upgrade, and test medical equipment
- Ability to follow GxP regulations, SOPs, documentation, and quality-control requirements
