Job Description
Field calibration technician troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating test equipment for Trescal, a U.S. calibration and repair provider. Traveling 90-100% to customer sites across the Northwestern United States.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction with equipment calibrations, repairs, and related services
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and maintenance of a wide variety of test and measurement equipment
- Create, review, and verify calibration data sheets for technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance with approved procedures and specifications
- Manage customer asset inventories onsite using the Trescal database and related systems
- Maintain accurate service documentation and calibration records according to company and quality requirements
- Identify and communicate equipment issues, recommended corrective actions, and service needs to customers and internal teams
- Travel extensively throughout the Northwestern United States to perform onsite calibration and technical support services
- Travel approximately 90-100%, primarily by company vehicle and commercial air travel
- Adhere to company quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Military PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory) or TMDE (Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment) training and experience, an Associate degree in a technical field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Two (2) years of commercial, industrial, or military calibration laboratory experience preferred
- Familiarity with handheld meters, torque wrenches, pressure gauges, calipers, micrometers, indicators, infrared thermometers, and other test equipment
- Experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540, or similarly regulated calibration environment preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 90-100% of the time to customer locations throughout the region
- Experience calibrating and troubleshooting test and measurement equipment across multiple disciplines
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- CDL not required
