Job Description

Finance / Commercial Project Manager overseeing budgets, contracts, billing, and risk for Edged Infrastructure’s AI data center platforms. Partnering with project teams, customers, vendors, and leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the full financial lifecycle of assigned data center infrastructure projects, including budgets, forecasts, cost-to-complete, and margins
  • Build and defend cost-to-complete forecasts and apply earned value and cost-variance methodologies
  • Track actuals against budget, explain variances, and drive corrective action
  • Manage project cash flow, billing milestones, retention, and working capital
  • Apply ASC 606 / IFRS 15 revenue recognition for long-term and construction-type contracts
  • Manage project accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, aging, accounts payable, subcontractor and vendor invoices, and payment terms
  • Reconcile AR and AP to project costs and revenue and monitor over/under billings
  • Manage commercial and contract administration, including pricing, payment terms, retention, liquidated damages, warranties, and risk allocation
  • Maintain contract compliance through notices, correspondence, and substantiating records
  • Lead change orders, claims, dispute economics, approvals, budgeting, forecasting, and billing
  • Interface with customers, vendors, joint venture partners, legal counsel, and internal leadership
  • Partner with Procurement on sourcing, supplier selection, purchase commitments, buyout, negotiations, and cost-down opportunities
  • Maintain project risk registers, quantify exposure, manage contingencies, and provide early warnings to leadership
  • Prepare project reviews, dashboards, and executive, investor, and lender reporting
  • Support bid and proposal pricing, sensitivity analysis, and go/no-go decisions
  • Support NetSuite and project-accounting implementation and reporting build-out
  • Drive continuous improvement focused on efficiency, accuracy, and accountability

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years in project finance, commercial or project management, or FP&A—ideally construction, infrastructure, data centers, or energy
  • Working knowledge of US construction and EPC contract structures, including AIA, ConsensusDocs, EPC/design-build
  • Knowledge of percentage-of-completion accounting, change-order and claims processes
  • Understanding of project accounting principles, earned value, cost variance, and cash flow
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Experience with ERP and project-accounting systems
  • Familiarity with the NetSuite ecosystem is desirable
  • Strong contract management and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of change-order, claims, risk-management, procurement, buyout, and cost-management processes
  • Ability to influence project managers, senior stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors without direct authority
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
