Job Description
Offshore Financial Support Specialist providing bookkeeping and VAT preparation for UK e-commerce business. Focused on maintaining clean financial records and reconciling transactions with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online
- Post and correctly code supplier invoices, software costs, and operating expenses
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards on a weekly basis
- Ensure consistent and correct use of the chart of accounts
- Proactively flag anomalies, missing documents, or unclear postings
- Process Amazon settlement statements using Dext
- Reconcile Amazon payouts, fees, refunds, and charges to QuickBooks
- Ensure Amazon sales, fees, and VAT treatment are accurately reflected
- Prepare quarterly UK VAT workings directly from QuickBooks
- Deliver a clean, review-ready VAT pack to the UK accountant
- Maintain orderly digital records and consistent naming conventions.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
- Experience supporting UK e-commerce businesses
- Experience using Dext or similar expense capture tools
- Practical experience preparing UK VAT workings (preparation only, not filing)
- Experience with Amazon Seller accounting , including settlements, fees, and payouts
- Strong attention to detail with disciplined reconciliation habits
- Comfortable working from written procedures and checklists.
- Must be currently residing in Latin America or the Philippines
- Must have a stable internet connection and a remote-ready workstation.
