Job Description
Freelance science and technical writer creating bilingual content about Viewpointsystem’s smart glasses and eye-tracking technology. Making complex research accessible to informed B2B audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Write whitepapers, technical articles, and scientific content accurately representing the company's technology and research
- Make complex deep-tech topics accessible to informed B2B audiences without oversimplifying them
- Collaborate on projects from briefing through expert reviews to final sign-off
- Interview subject-matter experts
- Coordinate reviews and incorporate feedback through final approval
- Suggest diagrams, infographics, and data visualizations where valuable
- Produce publication-ready content in both German and English
Requirements:
- Several years of proven experience in scientific or technical writing, ideally in deep-tech or a B2B technology environment
- Background in natural sciences, engineering, or a related technical field
- Genuine interest in eye tracking, computer vision, human-machine interaction, or wearables
- Proven experience making scientific topics accessible to a general audience
- Ability to independently work through complex topics after a briefing
- Flawless writing in German and English
- Sharp eye for accuracy, nuance, and tone
- Structured, reliable, and precise way of working
- Ability to manage work from first draft to final version
- Ability to provide a technical white paper or scientific article written personally
- Ability to provide an example of making complex technology or research accessible to a broader audience
- Based in or near Vienna is a plus
