Job Description
Global Payroll Specialist managing end-to-end international payroll for Melita’s HR, benefits, and payroll outsourcing clients. Building payroll processes across Canada, the UK, and expanding global jurisdictions.
Responsibilities:
- Execute and manage the entire payroll process for assigned international clients using ADP and Rippling payroll technologies.
- Process new hires, changes, terminations, and off-cycle items accurately and on time while respecting country-specific statutory rules and deadlines.
- Reconcile and validate payroll before release; coordinate funding, filings, and reporting as required.
- Work directly with client contacts to collect data, resolve issues, process changes, and obtain approvals.
- Maintain proactive communication and clean, well-documented payroll and issue records.
- Establish payroll-processing capability in new countries by learning statutory, tax, and processing requirements, defining internal processes, and launching payroll solutions.
- Become an advanced user of ADP, Rippling, additional payroll platforms, and Melita’s Salesforce CRM.
- Document repeatable processes and contribute to international Payroll Services standards and tools.
- Report to the Global Payroll Services Manager and collaborate with client payroll and HR contacts and Melita’s Payroll, Tax, and Client Service teams.
Requirements:
- Hands-on payroll experience in US, Canada and the UK; experience in other international jurisdictions is a plus.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll technology.
- Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail, with comfort managing payroll for multiple clients under deadline pressure.
- A genuine enthusiasm for payroll and for learning new systems, rules, and geographies.
- Excellent communication skills and a high-integrity, client-first approach.
- A college degree and/or a professional payroll designation is preferred, including Canadian PCP or CPM, UK CIPP, or US CPP.
- Experience standing up or building out a payroll process in a new country is preferred.
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and modern, technology-enabled payroll workflows is preferred.
