Job Description
Payroll accounting analyst processing PeopleSoft 9.2 payroll and journals for JLL, a global real estate and investment management services provider. Supporting audits, reporting, controls, and country transitions.
Responsibilities:
- Focus on the intersection of Payday and Workday labor allocation
- Create payroll accounting journals across the PeopleSoft 9.2 modules
- Prepare Excel/Pivot charts for daily operations
- Process company payroll every pay period in PeopleSoft
- Maintain payroll processing systems and records by gathering, calculating, and entering data in PeopleSoft
- Calculate employee take-home pay based on time records, benefits, and taxes
- Follow payroll policies and procedures and comply with relevant laws
- Develop and maintain documentation, especially the Global Data Dictionary
- Establish and maintain process and system controls for master-data integrity
- Perform and report on periodic audits
- Prepare ledger entries for earnings and deductions
- Generate payroll reports for manager review
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries
- Prepare and send monthly reports to stakeholders
- Support business initiatives and changes
- Participate in data extraction, conversion, cleanup, and system configuration
- Coordinate with Cluster PMOs and service delivery teams to drive action items
- Support new-country transitions to the Payday process
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a payroll or General Ledger role
- Familiarity with payroll software/HRIS, including PeopleSoft and Cognos
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- 1+ years of overall experience
- Experience working on PeopleSoft 9.2 for Payroll
- Operational experience handling payroll processes in PeopleSoft
- Ideally, experience in three or more PeopleSoft finance modules: Projects, Labor/Resource allocation, Payroll accounting, and billing
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritize work
- Ability to troubleshoot issues during UAT and liaise with business users and IT teams to identify and implement fixes
- Ability to independently lead training sessions and build training materials
- Strong presentation skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification
- Good understanding of data flows and how systems work
- Strong accounting knowledge
- Preferably, more than 1 year of experience in Payroll Accounting and an analytical profile in an MNC
