Job Description

Project Manager leading global Phase II and III respiratory clinical trials for Fortrea, a clinical research organization. Managing multi-country studies, sponsors, vendors, timelines, budgets, and risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead global Phase II and III respiratory clinical studies within a CRO or sponsor environment
  • Manage complex, multi-country clinical trials, overseeing timelines, budgets, risks, resources, and sponsor relationships
  • Serve as a primary client contact
  • Lead cross-functional global teams
  • Operationally oversee complex respiratory endpoint vendors
  • Apply ICH-GCP, clinical operations, study start-up, enrollment management, and vendor oversight practices
  • Contribute to bid defense, proposal strategy, and client governance
  • Lead or mentor PMs and junior team members
  • Support decentralized, digital, or innovative trial delivery models
  • Drive strategic problem-solving and proactive risk management
  • Lead through complexity and change
  • Support respiratory portfolios for major pharma sponsors
  • Manage global studies involving hundreds of sites and multiple regions
  • Conduct study rescue, accelerated start-up, or enrollment recovery programs
  • Coordinate clinical operations, medical, regulatory, and vendor partners

Requirements:

  • Experienced EU-based Respiratory Project Manager or Senior Project Manager experience
  • Strong respiratory therapeutic expertise, ideally including asthma, COPD, ILD, severe respiratory disease, pulmonary fibrosis, or related indications
  • Experience leading global Phase II and III studies within a CRO or sponsor environment
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-country clinical trials, including timelines, budgets, risks, resources, and sponsor relationships
  • Strong understanding of ICH-GCP, clinical operations, study start-up, enrollment management, and vendor oversight
  • Experience serving as a primary client contact and leading cross-functional global teams
  • Ability to operate independently and manage complex stakeholder environments
  • Experience operationally overseeing complex respiratory endpoint vendors
  • University/college degree (life science preferred) or certification in a related allied health profession from an appropriately accredited institution
  • Relevant and equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements
  • Preferred: overall respiratory expertise including rare respiratory (IPF) and specialized respiratory populations
  • Preferred: large global programs with accelerated timelines and high enrollment demands
  • Preferred: RBQM and risk-based delivery approaches
  • Preferred: bid defense, proposal strategy, and client governance experience
  • Preferred: previous leadership or mentoring responsibilities for PMs and junior team members
  • Preferred: exposure to decentralized, digital, or innovative trial delivery models
  • Strong sponsor-facing presence
