Job Description

HR Generalist supporting recruitment, onboarding, and HR operations for a remote luxury travel company. Fostering a data-driven, high-performance culture in a fully remote team.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the HR team and hiring managers to scale our recruitment efforts, including screening applicants, scheduling and conducting interviews and managing candidate pipelines.
  • Facilitate the onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring they are integrated into our culture, equipped with the right tools, and set up for success from day one.
  • Continuously iterate on onboarding programs to create a "best-in-class" experience that feels locally relevant yet globally aligned.
  • Assist in the day-to-day administration of HR tasks, including benefits enrollment, leave management, and maintaining up-to-date employee records in our HRIS.
  • Leverage AI, automation, and system enhancements to reduce manual work, improve data accuracy, and elevate team member experience.
  • Conduct proactive audits of our HR practices against current labor laws, ensuring our policies are not just compliant, but reflect modern best practices.
  • Collaborate on performance review cycles and take ownership of the preparation and delivery of impactful training materials for manager development sessions.
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for employee inquiries, ensuring questions regarding policies and benefits are answered promptly and accurately.
  • Support company culture initiatives, company events and contribute to special HR projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • 4 - 7 years of HR generalist experience with hands-on involvement in both recruitment and HR operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.) to automate & improve workflows, internal communications, or processes.
  • Proven experience with HRIS platforms (Justworks, Deel, or similar), ATS systems (Workable or similar), and performance management tools (Lattice or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides) is a must.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and compliance. Error-free work is essential in this role.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.) to automate & improve workflows, internal communications, or processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven remote work experience with ability to work independently, communicate proactively, and manage time across time zones.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with strong project ownership and a flexible, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handling sensitive data.
  • Familiarity with US HR practices and employment law (FLSA, exempt vs. non-exempt, contractor classifications)
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, or international equivalent certification)
  • Experience with HR analytics or people data reporting
