Job Description

HR Operations Specialist at WorkMotion ensuring compliance and support for international clients. Leading HR operations across multiple countries while promoting a high-touch HR experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary HR expert for assigned countries, acting as the first point of contact for employees and clients, managing complex HR matters across the full EOR lifecycle (including offboarding), and addressing all HR queries with accuracy.
  • Ensure full compliance with local employment laws by advising on regulatory requirements, identifying and mitigating compliance risks, and maintaining smooth, compliant HR operations.
  • Develop, refine, enforce and maintain country-specific HR policies and processes, contributing to the standardization and optimization of HR procedures across global entities.
  • Support and execute core HR operations, including administrative tasks such as reporting, employment verification, audits, and HRIS management.
  • Drive continuous improvement by streamlining workflows, enhancing operational efficiency, and collaborating with Product to build scalable, high-quality HR solutions while delivering a localized, high-touch HR experience.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Payroll, Product, and other teams, and contribute to ad hoc tasks and projects that support broader team and business needs.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in HR, ideally in a multi-country or international environment.
  • In-depth understanding of local employment legislation and HR policy design and implementation across European countries.
  • Working knowledge of reporting, audit requirements, and risk identification, with the ability to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Proven negotiation skills to manage challenging conversations and reach balanced, compliant outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience managing onboarding, lifecycle and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth, compliant, and empathetic support.
  • Fluency in English and business proficiency in a second language (ideally Spanish, French, or German).

  • Experience working in an Employer of Record (EOR), international HR operations, or a fast-growing global organization.
