Job Description

AI implementation consultant configuring Gigawatt’s field-service platform for major U.S. utilities. Translating legacy work rules into trusted schedules, dispatch areas, and exception workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure the Gigawatt Service module end to end, from intake and analysis through configuration, validation, sign-off, and promotion
  • Map utility work categories and legacy order types into ticket types, durations, skills, priorities, and SLAs
  • Convert legacy territories, routing tables, and cross-references into dispatch areas and scheduling constraints
  • Set KPI weights for operating companies and explain scheduling differences to client operations teams
  • Tune exception rules so unplaceable work enters named queues with clear reasons
  • Model skills, certification grades, crew composition, territory boundaries, appointment windows, site access, permits, parts, equipment, and hours-of-service constraints
  • Replace hand-coded legacy rules with configured business needs using form builders, rules engines, and online validation
  • Establish reusable best-practice configurations across operating companies and avoid unnecessary forks
  • Lead adoption of engine-driven service workflows for crews and dispatchers
  • Run the AI-assisted configuration flywheel and partner with Product and Engineering on fit-gap analysis
  • Validate schedules against dispatcher expectations before go-live
  • Triage production issues through the promotion process
  • Serve as the client’s day-to-day point of contact and first line of defect intake
  • Produce reusable configuration templates for ticket types, crew models, and calendars

Requirements:

  • 7+ years in field service management, configuring, implementing, or consulting on FSM software for enterprise customers
  • Hands-on, declarative configuration experience with IFS Field Service Management, ClickSoftware / Salesforce Field Service, Oracle Field Service, ServiceNow Field Service Management, SAP Field Service Management, or similar
  • Experience configuring work types, resources and skills, territories, calendars, scheduling policies, or optimization rules
  • Understanding of scheduling constraints, priorities, SLAs, travel, optimized schedules, and dispatcher overrides
  • Led requirements workshops with operations and dispatch stakeholders
  • Taken configuration through testing, UAT, and go-live on at least one enterprise rollout
  • Experience mapping and migrating data from a legacy field service or work-management system, including parallel runs and cutover
  • Experience helping field organizations adopt new ways of working
  • Comfortable working with supervisors, crew leads, and labor stakeholders
  • Comfortable with structured data, spreadsheets, and AI tooling
  • Based in the United States and able to travel to client sites
  • Nice to have: utility field operations experience, legacy-system migration, mobile workforce rollouts, integration exposure to asset management/GIS/outage management/inventory systems, AI-accelerated configuration workflows, and reusable-component design

Benefits:

  • Ability to work from any U.S. time zone
  • Travel to client sites
  • AI-accelerated workflow and tooling
  • Opportunity to configure field service for a major U.S. utility
  • Lean, senior team environment
