Job Description
Investment banking expert creating Fortune 500 M&A, capital markets, and valuation evaluation tasks for Mercor. Building rubrics and reference deal materials to train frontier AI systems.
Responsibilities:
- Build evaluation tasks for AI systems operating in Fortune 500 enterprise M&A and capital markets contexts
- Construct enterprise investment banking scenarios spanning $1B+ M&A transactions, multi-stakeholder deal committees, and complex capital markets or regulatory review cycles
- Build tasks across M&A advisory, equity and debt capital markets, leveraged finance, valuation and financial modeling, and pitch/deal execution
- Develop deal execution scenarios involving Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, and enterprise financial modeling and deal-management platforms
- Apply DCF, comparable company, precedent transaction, LBO modeling, and fairness opinion methodologies
- Produce reference pitch books, valuation models, and executive- or board-level deal narratives
- Author rubrics distinguishing authentic investment banking judgment from generic textbook or interview-preparation recall
- Work on projects focused on training and enhancing AI systems
Requirements:
- 5+ years working in M&A advisory, capital markets, or leveraged finance at a bulge-bracket bank, elite boutique, or major financial institution
- Direct ownership of Fortune 500-scale deal execution, capital raises, or advisory mandates
- Fluency in investment banking tooling, valuation methodologies, and deal-process mechanics
- Understanding of Fortune 500 board approvals, SEC and antitrust regulatory review, and legal/due-diligence processes
- Experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, and enterprise financial modeling and deal-management platforms
- Experience with DCF, comparable company, precedent transaction, and LBO modeling
- Understanding of fairness opinion standards
- Prior rubric, financial-modeling curriculum, or pitch book/deal documentation authorship is a plus
- Independent contractor engagement
- Unable to support H-1B or STEM OPT candidates at this time
