Job Description
Key Account Specialist expanding AbbVie’s Allergan Aesthetics product access through payer and provider partnerships in India. Developing account strategies, negotiating contracts, and driving tendering opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of decision-making matrices, pressures, opportunities, decision drivers, and unmet needs within each account
- Communicate payer/provider decision drivers and unmet needs to brand teams for holistic key account situation analysis
- Highlight cross-functional impacts of anticipated changes in the payer/provider environment to IFTs and brand teams
- Build trusted strategic relationships with payers/providers to anticipate access barriers and address key account agendas, plans, and objectives
- Identify opportunities and collaborate cross-functionally on win-win partnerships with key accounts
- Positively influence contracting and tendering opportunities for product access
- Develop account-specific strategies and concise engagement plans to optimize usage, funding, and access for AbbVie products
- Negotiate, close, and sign deals and support or lead contracting and tendering processes
- Facilitate the development and delivery of proposals to meet profit targets
- Track execution, impact of activities, and key account performance to improve bottom-line impact
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business related field, or equivalent
- Relevant experience with a demonstrated track record of success in sales or consultative selling within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry
- Ability to translate strategies into actionable and realistic key account engagement plans
- Ability to lead, motivate and coordinate cross-functional teams (in-field)
- Ability to negotiate, close and sign contracting and tendering deals with key accounts and complex customer networks
- Solid analytical, business planning, and financial acumen skills
- Solid working knowledge of pharmaco-economic principles
- Solid knowledge of payer/provider mindset and motivation in the relevant local context
- Solid knowledge of payer/provider decision-making processes and key stakeholders/influencers
- English language proficiency verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated track record of success managing specific key accounts strategically and long term, as well as tactically, within the relevant local context is preferred
- Leadership experience within a specific key account based on participation in key account decision-making processes within contracting and tendering situations is preferred
